STUDY 2:  TESTING AND BRAIN SCANS
- Only Recruiting Twin Pairs (Male/Female)

Participation involves 2 to 3 half-day evaluations at Stanford University including the following:

Cognitive and educational testing (such as reading and memory)
Brain scans (MRI and NIRS to examine brain structure and function)

Benefits of Participating in Study 2:
Up to $100 honorarium
Pictures of the participant’s brain

Participant Requirements (Children ages 6-12 who meet the following):

Twin sibling pairs (boy/girl pairs)*
Native English-speaker
Other requirements may apply, please contact for more information

*It may also be possible for non-twin sibling pairs (age difference fewer than 2.5 years and opposite sex) or individual children to participate.  Please inquire.

More information on MRI is available: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).  MRI is a safe, non-invasive technique that does not use X-rays.  More information about our lab’s research findings related to humor in adults is also available.
